About the Author

Born and raised in Little Falls, a central-Minnesota town of 8,300 people, Jeremy L. Luberts is a second-generation law enforcement officer who spent nearly three decades with the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office. Jeremy was a patrol officer, then a sergeant investigator, eventually becoming lead investigator on the Byron Smith murder case. Now retired, Jeremy wants to share his knowledge of and experience with a case that will impact him for the rest of his life.
