About the Author

Milton Friedman (1912–2006) was an influential American economist and Nobel laureate known for his advocacy of free-market capitalism and his contributions to monetarist economics. He held a professorship at the University of Chicago and was a key figure in the Chicago School of Economics. Milton Friedman’s ideas have had a significant impact on economic policy and thought, particularly in promoting the importance of limited government intervention in the economy.

Rose Friedman (1910–2009) was an economist and author, as well as the wife and collaborator of Milton Friedman. She co-authored several works with her husband and was actively involved in their joint academic pursuits. Together, Milton and Rose Friedman wrote influential books, including “Free to Choose,” and contributed to discussions on the relationship between economics, freedom, and public policy.
